HILARIOUS!   OFF BEAT!   SURPRISING!

“Eliza Sherman’s Revenge” (2017) written, produced and directed by Gregory Fitzsimmons, is a fun and zany comedy. Jackie Geary (13 Reasons Why) stars as Eliza Sherman. Richard Grieco of “21 Jump Street” fame makes an appearance in the film as himself. The excellent cast includes Jamison Haase, Kristen Miller, Mageina Tovah, Mike Rock, Kiva Jump, Larry Bates, Jesse McIntosh, Afton Quast, Keri Safran, Jesse Saler, Craig Ricci, Victoria Thompson, RJ Walker, and David Wylie.

Eliza Sherman invites housemates from ten years ago to a party in the Hollywood Hills to celebrate Richard Grieco’s birthday. Eliza has revenge and love on her mind; and the party takes on many a quirky turn as she clumsily attempts to use her magical powers. “Eliza Sherman’s Revenge” is a must-see for those who enjoy the dark arts with a comedic twist.

Happy Memorial Day:

Eliza Sherman’s Revenge,”  which will make it’s world premiere at the 20th anniversary Dances With Films on June 3rd at 9:30pm at the TCL Chinese Theatres in Hollywood (with green carpet with cast and filmmakers from 9pm-9:30pm) . The feature length film debut from writer/director Gregory Fitzsimmons (“Maybe. Probably.”), and starring Jackie Geary (“13 Reasons Why”), Kristen Miller (“Team America World Police”),  Kiva Jump (“Mad Men”), Mageina Tovah (“Spider-man 2”), Larry Bates (“Big Little Lies”), Jamison Haase (“American Crime Story”), and Mike Rock (“Chelsea Lately”). Newly endowed with special powers, Eliza Sherman lures her old nemeses to the Hollywood Hills under the guise of a birthday party for ’80s heartthrob Richard Grieco. Her plans to punish them go repeatedly awry as her powers prove to be no match for fate. She must conquer her ego and stop screwing up the space-time continuum if she wants to finally win the heart of her one true love.  A pitch-black, supernatural revenge comedy that takes you along for a rapid ride with a running time of 80 minutes. Private screener link available upon request. Many thanks for your consideration as always!

Logline: After a bizarre encounter leaves her with special powers, Eliza Sherman lures her old tormentors to a house in the Hollywood Hills.  Her plans to punish them repeatedly go awry as her powers prove to be no match for fate.  A pitch-black, supernatural revenge comedy.

Synopsis: Ten years ago, Eliza Sherman was humiliated by people she thought were her friends. Now, after an unorthodox encounter, she finds herself newly endowed with special powers.  So she decides to lure her old nemeses to a house in the Hollywood Hills under the guise of a birthday party for ’80s heartthrob Richard Grieco. By spiking the salsa, she brings about a drug induced slumber party — trapping everyone in the house with a good, old-fashioned forcefield.  Battle lines are drawn, and relationships are put to the test.  Eliza’s plans to punish her houseguests repeatedly go awry as her powers prove to be no match for fate.  She must conquer her ego and stop screwing up the space-time continuum if she wants to find peace, and ultimately win the heart of her one true love. It’s twenty-four hours of mayhem, marijuana, Mexican food, and (almost) murder in this pitch-black, supernatural revenge comedy. Forgiveness is overrated.

Festival Screening Time: Saturday, June 3rd at 9:30pm (TCL Chinese Theatres)

JUNE 1 – 11, 2017
Dances With Films, now in its 20th year, champions the unflinching spirit at the very core of the independent film scene. While the vast majority of film fests rely heavily on celebrity, we have relied on the innovation, talent, creativity and sweat equity that revolutionized the entertainment industry. And that reliance continues to prove successful with alumni moving on to write, direct and produce celebrity-studded vehicles, star in blockbuster movies and television series, produce multi-million dollar films and create hit TV shows. Oh…. and we even have several OSCAR® nominees.
