Reena Gauchan, owner of Kathmandu Boutique, has been serving homemade Vegan dishes for her Santa Monica based community gatherings for nine years. Her passion for cooking and for promoting conscious culture has motivated her to turn her popular shop into a place where artists, speakers, yogis, and conscious minded people get together to share their art, music, inspired ideas and, of course, Reena’s delicious cooking. Her programs include film screenings, book signings and Wednesday afternoon tea with Tarot.
Her immensely popular quarterly community gatherings with music, food, massage, henna and more are mini conscious community festivals promoting eco-friendly living. Now Reena is teaming up with Ombience, a 501 c3 non-profit organization encouraging self – reflection through the Arts, to host a bi-monthly dinner and music concert series featuring her authentic Thakali Tribal food, guided meditation, and concert featuring top level eclectic classical & world music performances in an intimate setting. After a long journey this is the perfect setting, not only to find great gifts, food and fellow travelers but also to reflect upon the deeper dimensions of your inner journey.

Sarod player and singer/songwriter Stephen Day plays ragas and writes songs inspired by his many music tours around the world.

Day studied SAROD in India for three years with the world’s greatest living sarodist Ustad Amjad Ali Khan. After India, Stephen spent time touring in Europe and America where he played premier venues including the Kodak Theater in L.A. and Town Hall in N.Y. He then settled in Los Angeles and began to write music for TV and film. His body of work now contains music in 7 films, 4 music libraries, 4 albums and hundreds of television shows. His latest album, Eternity, a collection of songs about adventure, mysticism and the road less traveled, is produced by two-time Gold Disc Award winner Matt Forger (Michael Jackson, Stephen Spielberg, Paul McCartney), and Shenkar (Shakti, Peter Gabriel, voice of NBC’s smash hit “Heroes”), and features musical appearances by Matt Malley (Counting Crows), Daryl Jones (Miles Davis, The Rolling Stones) and Satnam Singh (Nikka Costa, Hans Zimmer), among others.

In 2007 Mr. Day organized and performed in a concert at the United Nations where his music was featured as a uniting force for ancient civilizations and modern countries from the East and the West. The success of the concert inspired him to found “Ombience” a 501 c3 non-profit organization dedicated to encouraging self-reflection through the Arts. This in turn allowed him to meet and work with a new set of artists including Peter Gabriel, Dave Grohl (Foo Fighters), and Cheryl Bentyne (Manhattan Transfer). Stephen currently resides in Los Angeles where he composes, records with his band and launches music tours.
