Fine Dining At Melvyn’s Restaurant & Lounge Address: 200 W Ramon Rd, Palm Springs, CA 92264

My assistant and myself  had an Incomparable Experience In Fine Dining!  Food was tantelizing! We started off with a 5 star Lobster Cocktail then moved on to a delicious creamy smooth scallop dish and chicken stuffed with lobster. For dessert the creme brulie totally satisfied our very sweet taste buds.

We definitely stepped back in time where all the iconic movie stars visited.

Tuxedo-clad waiters, maitre d, authentic decor ..all characteristics from a bygone era.
We were so very impressed that the owner himself, Melvyn, was there and very hands-on in the dining room….greeting familiar patrons, directing staff, etc.
It’s no wonder this place has survived since the Rat Pack era, and was standing room only on a Saturday night in Jan. 2013. This place was originally built as a single family estate, a desert retreat, back in the 1920’s.
You just don’t find places like that anymore!
Brian the Maitre’ D is a true professional. He knows how to take care of customers and is as classy as can be. The Servers were outstanding.

Diahann Carroll strolled into Melvyn’s Restaurant about 9:30 pm. She loved the place. She spends two hours listening to Michael Healey in the lounge and takes a picture with him.
The next day she calls and asks if we could do her a big favor. She is appearing at the Annenberg Theater and does not finish until 11:30, and even though we close the restaurant at 11, is there any way we can seat her and her friends at 11:30?
Needless to say, Melvyn’s to the rescue, and Diahann with her party of six had a fabulous evening, didn’t leave until 1:30 am, and could not stop thanking the staff.
She said, “Melvyn’s makes me feel like, “Old Blue Eyes” is here with us, and I just love it!”
