Sunny and Greg Thompson are pleased to announce  the award-winning and critically acclaimed one woman play “Marilyn: Forever Blonde” will perform a limited five performance run at the beautiful El Portal Theatre in North Hollywood from Thursday, August 2nd through Sunday, August 5th celebrating the life of Marilyn Monroe as part of her 50th memorial.

Sunny Thompson has been working with Mary Sims of “Immortal Marilyn”
to create a special evening for Marilyn fans visiting Hollywood for
the memorial weekend. Sunny and Mary are inviting all “Immortal Marilyn”
members and their guests/friends to a special performance of “Marilyn:
Forever Blonde” on Saturday, August 4th at 8pm to see the play, view a
collection of beautiful Marilyn Monroe photographs in the El Portal Gallery
and attend a champagne reception, hosted by Sunny and Greg Thompson
in the theatre’s new “Monroe” theatre.
The parking lot for the El Portal theatre during the evening is the parking lot
for Lankershim Elementary School where Norma Jeane attended grade school
in 1937. Mary tells us that Norma Jeane attended Lankershim Elementary
during the sixth grade and won two gold medals at the school’s annual
track meet! Sunny will cut the ribbon opening the new “Monroe” theatre
along with North Hollywood dignitaries at a ceremony scheduled for the
memorial weekend as well.
At the special Saturday night “Immortal Marilyn” Gala, “Immortal Marilyn”
ticket buyers will attend a special “talk back” session with Sunny
and the play’s author, Greg Thompson after the performance. The fans
will receive a free personally autographed 8×10 photo of Sunny and a
free collectible poster from “Marilyn: Forever Blonde”.
There will also be a drawing for “Immortal Marilyn” fans for a giant gift
basket of “Marilyn: Forever Blonde” memorabilia including a four-
color program, playbills from various theatres around the world in which
“Marilyn: Forever Blonde” has been presented, postcards, a soundtrack
CD, a poster, assorted rack cards, a press kit and a bottle of “Marilyn:
Forever Blonde” champagne.

The El Portal Theatre has built a special show called “FAN CLUB Marilyn
Forever Blonde” where the seating is all in the center section of the
