Media Launches ‘#BroadenYourHorizon’
Supporting 7 LGBT Friendly Nonprofits
Los Angeles, CA (Nov. 25, 2014) – Frontiers Media is hosting a very special evening of LGBT philanthropy to
celebrate this year’s #GivingTuesday and the launch of its #BroadenYourHorizon campaign on Dec. 2 at the Riviera 31
inside the Sofitel Beverly Hills, California.

The #BroadenYourHorizon red carpet celebration event will launch on #GivingTuesday, the Tuesday after
Thanksgiving, and will conclude Jan. 31, 2015, with the outcome to benefit seven LGBT causes. The new campaign
coincides with the Season 5 premiere of the most-watched gay web series in the world, The Horizon, which boasts over
29 million views to date and promotes a safe-sex message integrated organically into storylines. Co-produced by Frontiers
Media and Cobbstar Productions in Sydney, Australia, the new season boasts the addition of Emmy Award-winning actor
Jai Rodriguez.
Frontiers Media philanthropy partners celebrating #GivingTuesday include Equality California, ACON, Impulse Group.
Keep a Child Alive, Point Foundation, Outfest and the Gay Men’s Chorus of Los Angeles.
During the star-studded evening, Frontiers Media will launch #BroadenYourHorizon and the search for The Horizon’s
next star will begin, with the help of the series’ loyal fans. The innovative crowdsourced casting campaign will feature 12
aspiring actors as they compete for online votes and earn a spot in Season 7, when the action will move from Sydney to
Los Angeles. Each online vote will provide a donation to one of the LGBT charities with specific impacts designated
within the areas of LGBT Equality, HIV/AIDS Services, HIV Prevention, LGBT Scholarships, Saving Children with
HIV, Building Community with Film and Advocacy through Music.
To create this first-of-its-kind campaign, Frontiers Media has partnered with Causora, a registered fundraiser whose
founder has developed and implemented successful voting platforms for major U.S. shows including American Idol,
America’s Got Talent, Deal or No Deal, Survivor, Dancing with the Stars and Big Brother.
Join the spirit of #GivingTuesday by giving to a cause you care about at #BroadenYourHorizon and join us in igniting
your inner philanthropist on Dec. 2 at Riviera 31 inside the Sofitel Beverly Hills at 7 p.m.
