Logline: When two couples with mixed feelings about having kids hatch a plan share one baby, things spiral out of control.

Synopsis:

Jeff and Sarah are struggling to come to an agreement about having a baby. Sarah is ready, Jeff is not. Their mutual friends Don and Taylor have the opposite problem — Don wants kids and Taylor doesn’t. When the two couples hatch a plan to share one baby between them, it seems like they may have found the perfect compromise — until things spiral out of control.

WHAT: As part of the successful and ongoing LOBBY SERIES at The Hollywood Museum in the Historic Max Factor Building, paying tribute to iconic and legendary individuals in entertainment, The Hollywood Museum’s President/Founder, Donelle Dadigan, is pleased to announce that they will be celebrating the 55th Anniversary of America’s favorite shipwreck – GILLIGAN’S ISLAND (the longest running sitcom still showing worldwide in over 30 languages), with one of the show’s most enduring castaways, Dawn Wells, who portrayed the lovable farm girl next door, Mary Ann Sommers. The Character that was originally listed as “And the rest” on the credits became the fan favorite, garnering more fan mail that even the title character. With almost 400,000 fans on her FaceBook page and fan clubs across the U.S., her following has remained faithful.

The Museum will unveil one of pop culture’s most iconic costumes with Gilligan’s white sailor hat and red shirt, worn by Mr Bob Denver as Gilligan, as well as the gingham dress and the navel covering shorts with matching mid-drift top worn by Ms Wells as Mary Ann in the show, and her original scripts of the series. Other items on display include from the Rob Klein collection – the coconut cup prop used on the show, the screen accurate replica of the radio from the showâ™ pilot, as well as original Gilliganâ™ Island inspired merchandise from the 1960’s.

In addition, Ms Wells will be signing the newly released, updated version of her book, “A Guide To Life: What Would Mary Ann Do?” (Bear Manor Publishing) following the Lobby Series unveiling.

ABOUT DAWN WELLS:
A native of Reno, Ms. Wells represented Nevada in the Miss America pageant in 1959. She found success in Hollywood immediately afterward, appearing in such shows as 77 Sunset Strip, Maverick, Bonanza, and Hawaiian Eye. She was later cast in the role of a lifetime as Mary Ann in Gilligan’s Island, beating out 350 other actresses. She’s an actress, producer, author, spokesperson, journalist, motivational speaker, teacher, and humanitarian. She has starred in over 150 TV shows, and 7 motion pictures, and has starred in 60+ theatrical productions across the country and on The Great White Way.

 –METROPOLITAN FASHION WEEK, (MetroFW), the most fashionable week in Hollywood, kicks off its annual festivities with a fashion show featuring unique costumes and haute couture gowns and industry fashion awards, September 26 – October 5, 2019 at Los Angeles City Hall and various locations throughout Los Angeles. MetroFW will be hosted and produced by Eduardo Khawam, fashion expert, producer and TV personality for Telemundo and Univision.

 

Metropolitan Fashion Week Los Angeles festivities begin with the Opening Night & Fashion Design Contest at The Original Farmers Market Los Angeles on Thursday, September 26, hosted by Sam Rubin, entertainment reporter for the KTLA Morning News. Inspired by Project Runway, Designers will showcase one Greek Mythology Inspired Masterpiece, couture gown or costume. The winner will have the opportunity to participate in the Metropolitan Fashion Week Closing Gala & Fashion Awards on Saturday, October 5, 2019 at Los Angeles City Hall.

 

Metropolitan Fashion Week Closing Gala & Fashion Awards, will take place Saturday, October 5, 2019, at The Iconic Los Angeles City Hall and hosted by Eduardo Khawam, fashion expert, producer and television personality for Telemundo and KTLA, and Christine Devine, six-time Emmy® Award winning television news anchor for KTTV’s Fox 11 News. The festivities will open with a special dance number featuring Emmy nominated choreographer Dmitry Chaplin.

 

The Closing Gala & Fashion Awards will recognize outstanding contributions in costume design, fashion and more. The award categories include Costume Designer of the Year (Motion Pictures), Costume Designer of the Year (TV), Fashion Designer of the Year; Outstanding Ensemble for Make-Up Artist and Hair Stylists – TV or Motion Picture and the Metropolitan Fashion Excellence Award. In addition to the Awards ceremony the evening will include a one-of-a-kind fashion and costume show featuring masterpieces inspired by Greek Mythology and designed by over 30 National and International Fashion Designers with a special segment from Cinema Makeup School lead by three-time Oscar® winner and last year’s Metropolitan Fashion Excellence Award Winner, Ve Neill.

 

Metropolitan Fashion Week has raised over $13 million for charity by supporting a special charity each year. This year’s fashion week supports Project Imagination. Metropolitan Fashion Week will donate a Christmas Tree/Holiday Kit to selected families in need throughout the Los Angeles area.
