Pacific Design Center’s Winter Art season launched, which was marked by a public Opening Reception on Friday, January 22nd from 5 p.m. to 9:30 p.m.
Friday evening’s opening reception, designLAB at the Pacific Design Center in West Hollywood showcased 16 galleries of art pieces and installations. Curator Helen Varola from New York presented the inspiring event. Galleries on display include, Anthony James Studio, Boite Noire Gallery, Christopher W. Mount Gallery, CMay Gallery, Industry Gallery, Lawrence Cantor Fine Art, Mary Younakof, MICUCCI ARTE, Thomas Paul Fine Art, VAROLA, Young Projects, and 4 A.M.
Installations well worth viewing are curator Helen Varola’s “Trophy Modern: The Legacy Collection”, Mary Younakof’s “343 Dresses: The Chromatic Convergence Project”, Heras Castan’s project, “Space Equilibrium” at Boite Noire Gallery, and Lawrence Cantor Fine Art exhibit featuring contemporary artists Andrew Myers,Kerry Miller, and Michael Mapes.
