image1Feeling it’s perfect timing with the re-release of the two Doors albums, this cool music event, Music Lifeboat, a trailblazing organization that empowers the underserved through music, presents their first annual fundraiser Make Noise: The Power of Music and Community on Sunday, June 7 from 6:00-9:00 p.m. at the historic Ivar Theatre (1605 Ivar Avenue, Hollywood). Legendary Guitarist Robby Krieger of The Doors headlines the all-star line-up, which includes members of the LA Philharmonic, for a magical musical evening.

In a star-studded, “VH1 Storytellers” meets “Actor’s Studio”-like setting, Music Lifeboat’s Make Noise: The Power of Music and Community takes place on Sunday, June 7 with a silent auction from 5-6:30 p.m. at LA Film School, followed by a main staged event from 7:00-9:00 p.m. at the historic Ivar Theatre in Hollywood. All of the evening’s proceeds will be split equally among four non-profit organizations: Music Lifeboat, Grades of Green, The Fender Music Foundation, and The Midnight Mission. Guests will enjoy an evening of musical performances from rock icon Robby Krieger, members from the LA Phil and world-renowned musicians, all while bidding on silent auction items from Robby Krieger as well as John Legend, Mary J. Blige, Carole King, and Kenny Burrell. Tickets for the “Music Lifeboat Benefit” are $150 for General Admission, $300 for Reserved Seating with a limited-edition lithograph signed by Robby Krieger and $750 for a VIP package that guarantees premium seating, early entrance, a special reception, and meet-and-greet session with the artists including Robby Krieger and members of The LA Phi. http://www.eventbee.com/v/makenoise
